Earlier in the year we launched a crowdfunder to support our Warmer Wolverton project.
What happened next was incredible!
23 supporters (individuals and businesses) and match funding from Coop smashed our target and we raised £5480.
To everyone that supported this initiative a MASSIVE THANK YOU!
With this extended funding not only have we been able to offer a warm space and welcome to our visitors through the coldest months of the year at ‘Warmer Wolverton’ but we have been able to extend our community sessions. We have secured a weekly ‘Breakfast and Coffee Morning’ and exercise session ‘Keep Moving’ every Wednesday and will continue to support ‘Foodcycle’s Friday Lunch’, monthly ‘Repair Cafe’ and ‘Fayre’s Fair’ craft events thoughout 2023.
Check out the poster and our website for details and see you for a cuppa very soon 🙂
Hi
Recently I saw a add at bath house for a free household items to give away. Please can you tell me when this service is available as I’m struggling to buy new items like sofas beds.
Hello, thanks for your email. I think you might be referring to our new “Rehome Your Electricals” initiative where people donate unwanted electrical items. The items are redistributed through other outlets, you can read more here: http://www.mkcommunityfridge.org/rehome-your-electricals.html – I hope that helps.
