Arts Group (MK Arts for Health)

Arts for Health (Milton Keynes) uses arts and creativity to improve health and wellbeing. Join the team for this drop-in session every Monday in the Main Hall between 2-4pm. Sessions are just £2 per week and everyone is welcome.

Milton Keynes Country Market:

The Country Market is a co-operative. Every Friday from 9am to 1pm (excluding January), local producers display their handmade craft items, baking, honey, preserves, plants and more, plus a cafe.

Wolverton Community Fridge:

Community initiative offering a simple solution to wasting less through the sharing of good quality food. You can join the team every Wednesday from 6pm and Saturday from midday in the outdoor space by the foyer door. Everyone is welcome. There is no charge but donations are accepted. The team run fun, interactive & informative classes that help to stimulate your little ones both physically and mentally through singing, dancing, crafting, signing, sensory play, cognitive games and physical exercises. The Wolverton Yoga Group

A support group for everyone affected by bipolar including individuals, family, friends and carers. Offering guidance, information, social activities and an opportunity to meet others. Postnatal Pilates 

A specialist physiotherapy led postnatal class aimed at new Mum’s who have been cleared to exercise by their GP at their 6-8 week check, or Mum’s at any stage who want to return to exercise. This is a less intense class, focussing on rebuilding posture, core and pelvic floor strength. Drug and Alcohol Family Support (DAFS)

DAFS is a caring support group created for parents and family members of loved ones suffering from drug and/or alcohol addiction. The group is run by volunteers, all of whom have lived experience of dealing with an addicted loved one.

The Arts

 

Heart and Music

Formed in July 2010 to sing concerts to raise funds for good causes, the choral group comprises 13 singers and a conductor; and the services of great accompanists. The group sing a variety of music: musical theatre, traditional songs, folk songs, pop songs, religious songs and fun pieces too. Membership is by invitation.

Wolverton Town Band is a non-contesting traditional brass band. A friendly and mixed ability group who enjoy making music and supporting the local and wider community by performing at various events and staging our own concerts. It is presently free to join, and we have some spare instruments for those that may not have their own.
