Following the success of their summer guitar workshop at the Old Bath House and Community Centre, Kendall Arts are back in October half term with another guitar workshop for 12-18 year olds! Jon Kendall will be teaching young people scales, guitar techniques, riffs and riff forming, and helping his students write a piece of music of their own! Following the success of their initial classes at the Old Bath House, MK Bhangra Club is now firmly established in Wolverton, offering two separate classes for ladies and for children on Sunday afternoons. Bhangra is a traditional folk dance from the heart of the Punjab, North West India, and the classes offer an opportunity to learn Bhangra, have fun, build stamina and enjoy a great work out to keep fit and active! From Tuesday 4th October, we will have a new belly dance class starting at the Old Bath House and Community Centre! This exciting new foundation level bellydancing class will include a cardio warm up, technique break down, cherography and a full stretch to finish. Classes will run from 8pm-9pm in the dance studio and will cost just £4 per session.
The Wolverton Town Band’s autumn concert has arrived and promises to be a packed-out night of fun and entertainment! Tonight from 6.30pm at the Old Bath House – free entry!
We have yet another exciting new group joining us at the Old Bath House! From 6th October onwards we will have Shamanic Drummers MK meeting on the first Thursday of every month. Connect with the Spirit of the Drum and experience and share the rhythmic power and beat of the hand drum for healing, meditation and journeying. We always feel very privileged to have local artists exhibit their work at the Old Bath House, and we are very excited for our next exhibition – Watercolours by Kevin Mortimer Art! Kevin’s work explores the natural world – picturesque landscapes, beautiful coastlines, dramatic skies, wintry scenes, wildflowers, wildlife and so much more. Kevin’s work will be up in the Old Bath House and Community Centre very soon and is well worth viewing…watch this space!
